On his website Mister Playboy wrote: "Contrary to popular myth, we don't grow our Playmates in rabbit-shaped petri dishes in the basement of the Playboy Mansion. Once upon a time they weren't Playmates at all, just real women with real lives."

Because that somewhat cryptic answer is of really no use at all, we decided to embark on a quest to find the many, many hundreds of scantily clothed models who posed for the U.S. edition of Playboy Magazine. On this page you'll find the results of that painstaking search.
